LOGAN, MRS. ESTHER RUTH Widow of Pastor Harry Logan Muskegon Mrs. Esther Ruth Logan, age 88, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at a local hospital. Mrs. Logan was born April 12, 1925 to Robert and Bessie (Jones) Baldwin in Hamorton, Pennsylvania. On March 9, 1946 she married Harry W. Logan in Wilmington, Delaware and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2006. Esther attended Wilmington Bible College where she was granted two scholarships. She attended the Christian Education Course at Moody Bible Institute. Esther worked side by side with Harry, visiting with him in his ministries at Grace Memorial Baptist Church. She worked in Vacation Bible School, Pioneer Girls, taught Pioneer Girls teacher training at Yankee Springs, and taught Child Evangelism classes. She was a prayer partner for CEF and while in Illinois, was Sunday School Superintendent and Awana Clubs. She was secretary and treasurer of the West Michigan Moody Alumni and president of the Ladies Fellowship. Esther is SURVIVED by her children, William "Bill" Logan of Toledo, OH, Ruth Naomi (Randall) Umfleet of Grand Rapids and Cheryl (Ricky) Hancock of Muskegon; grandchildren, Dorthea Brook Goss, Lance Logan, Arianne Umfleet and Landon Umfleet; great-grandchildren, Starla Michelle Largent, Talin and Korbin Logan; brother, Paul Baldwin of Kennett Square, PA. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothea May; son, David D. Logan; and brother, Robert E. Baldwin Jr. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2013 at The Walburn Chapel 1547 W. Sherman Blvd 231- 759-8565 with Pastor John Frank officiating.
